We have delivered BroaDisk to a feed factory for pig farming. In the case of a silo with a capacity of about 50 tons, there were concerns about bridging, and measures against bridging were implemented using foreign-made equipment. This is a case inquiry from a user who has already installed a Brodisk. Although they purchased and installed the Brodisk as a measure against rat holes, they consulted us because they observed that the rat holes had not been resolved upon visual inspection of the inside of the hopper during maintenance. As a countermeasure, we advised them to increase the number of Brodisk installations, reconsider the placement, use a controller with four solenoid valves, and review the air piping (such as tube diameter conditions), which they implemented. After implementing this improvement plan, the user reported that there were no rat holes at all. The user's request was to 'install a few as a test on a part of the upper lid,' but since the conditions are worse in the cylindrical part, we recommended installing a few there for testing. As a result, it was determined that there was no longer any growth of adhesion at the installation site, which was deemed satisfactory.
